Abstract


Primary School Teachers’ Perspectives Related to the Problems They Encountered in Turkish Lessons
The aim of this research is to identify the problems encountered by primary school teachers and to make suggestions to solve the problems. In the study the descriptive model was used. In the research, qualitative research method was used to collect, analyze and interpret the data.40 teachers from 8 primary schools chosen in Ankara in 2010-2011 academic year constituted the study sample. Semi-structured interview technique was used and a tape recorder was used during interview process in order to record the data. The data has been analyzed through descriptive analysis techniques. The assembled data were presented in schemas as the form of frequency. According to the findings of this study it is determined that primary school teachers encounter problems result from curriculum, students, learning-teaching process and materials.
