Abstract
The Patients’ Relatives Satisfication in Home Health Care Services
Some of the health care services have been started to given to the patients in their home environment in Turkey since 2010 as home health care services. In this study, it was aimed that how the patients’ relatives are satisfied with given services. To realize this aim, a questionnaire has been applied to 160 patients’ relatives in the city of Isparta and its two towns, Yalvaç and Eğirdir in 2014. The data obtained by questionnaires were analyzed by using SPSS 21.0 programme. To evaluate data, frequencies and factor analysis methods were used.
According to data obtained by questionnaires applied to patients’ relatives, it was seen that patients’ relatives in the city centre of Isparta and its two towns highly satisfied with the given home health care services. The comparison of the satisfaction levels of patients’ relatives in the city centre and towns showed that patients’ relatives in towns more satisfied than patients’ relatives in the city centre. According to the findings about the application process of getting home health care services, it was seen that there are some problems such as lack of publicity about home health care services, length of time between the applications to get services and starting to get services, and the absence of automation systems about tracking patients’ information.
